New Chairs, New TV, New Uber App! Seriously.

Updated: Dec 13, 2019

It's been a great year! To celebrate I got some new chairs and even a new tv to go with my high speed internet account and comcast subscription. My 2 weeks off is almost over, back to work on Friday! But I've been busy. Turns out I'm drifting more and more back into software development activities which have always been one of my greatest strengths.

The people involved in "We Drive Progress" reached out to me and sent me a text message "Drivers are coming together to win fair wages, benefit protections, and a real voice." and asked if I wanted to help them grow the movement.

Um, I drove Uber for 3-1/2 years and I'm extremely doubtful that anything will come to fruition with regards to union organizing at Uber. If they wanted to do something to provide better value for the riders and the drivers they would've done it by now. I've decided to throw my hat in the ring again and see if we can solve this problem.

I've set my sites on coming up with a different kind of Uber/Lyft App, one that focuses on providing a cost effective service to riders and a much more significant income for the drivers so enter your information below to get updates on that if you're interested.

I ended up getting to more closely evaluate an app building tool called QuickBase and I absolutely fell in love with it. The big downside was the per seat pricing model. They want $30/month per user if they pay monthly and $25/month per user if they pay annually. Even though I learned a lot, and I love the product it doesn't make sense to keep using it since there's no way people are going to pay a monthly fee to use the app, especially the riders. I decided to evaluate a product called Caspio instead. So far so good!

The new tv is amazing!!! For the past 8 years I've been mostly relying on YouTube and the internet news sources to provide me information and entertainment. Xfinity takes all of that to a whole new level.

I seem to be addicted to Blacklist on Netflix and managed to get all the way to Season 3! LOL.

Happy Holidays Everyone! 2020 is going to be even more incredible!
